The Grateful Table
The Grateful Table
Great furniture begins with stewardship. Every table and desk is made from responsibly forested regional hardwoods and milled locally.
The Grateful Table partners with independent craftsmen who make each table or desk. Bench-made furniture is an art form fundamental to our history. Choosing us means directly supporting independent artists.
Stunning & Durable Finishes
We use an organic hard-wax finish. It's non-toxic - zero-VOC, gives a a refined, low-luster matte look.
We offer state of the art powder coat finishes for the bases. Available in 130 colors.
The Grateful Table bridges the gap between Progressive design and traditional craftsmanship by making tables built to last for generations. We hope each piece is the anchor for many celebrations and great conversations.
Responsible Forestry
Independent Artists
Your support allows independent artists to practice the craft they love, fosters responsible forestry, and brings purposeful design to life. We are deeply thankful for every client who welcomes our work into their home.
We are very happy to partner with Cambium to offer Carbon Smart Wood™. Cambium's process salvage fallen urban trees by recovering logs that would otherwise be burned or sent to landfills.
We pair our tabletops with sculptural steel legs and bases crafted by Flowyline Design. Made from steel, each base is hand-shaped by their skilled artisans, who hand-weld and polish every seam.
Much of our design is guided by the Five Elements theory theory of Tai Chi which serves as it's foundational framework. The five elements are: Wood, Metal, Fire, Water and Earth.
